Swedish International School is growing, and with that, we are now seeking additional colleagues for our teaching team, both as teachers for grades 1-3, preschool teachers, and support resources with entry in September 2024.

In autumn 2023, the school opened its doors in Costalita, Estepona municipality, just west of Marbella. The school is located in a quiet and peaceful area with proximity to the beach, nature, and adjacent paddle – and kids club.

The school follows the Swedish curriculum and accepts children and students from preschool up to high school. Middle school and high school students study through Sofia Distance and Hermods and have mentors on site at the school. All teachers at the school have Swedish teaching credentials and share a strong commitment to the students and to contributing to building and shaping the school’s activities.

The school’s teaching team and management are characterized by great joy and commitment to the students and to the start-up of the school. The position as a teacher at the school provides a great opportunity to contribute to and shape the school to be the best for our students. Everyone works closely together, and the days are characterized by teamwork where individual initiatives and responsibilities are important and highly valued by the school. Great importance is placed on integrating the Spanish language and culture into the students’ daily lives, therefore fluency in Spanish is a requirement for teachers at Swedish International School.

Grade 1-3 Teacher

As a teacher in an age-integrated class (1-3), good ability to adapt learning to each individual is required. The school also has a maximum limit of 16 students per class, which enables individual education and the opportunity for close teacher contact with students and parents. We expect you to enjoy close dialogue with parents and to emphasize communication.

You are structured, confident, and methodical in your work and have previous experience working in age-integrated classes. You have a good sense of humor, are helpful, see the opportunity to grow with the school, and are willing to help where needed as it is a smaller school.

Qualifications:

  • Swedish teaching credentials with authorization for grades 1-3
  • Proficiency in the Spanish language
  • Previous experience in the teaching profession

Preschool Teacher

As a preschool teacher at the school, you will be part of a dedicated and secure staff group with a strong focus on the Spanish and English languages ​​in everyday life.

You are structured, confident, and methodical in your work and have previous experience working in preschool groups. You have a good sense of humor, are helpful, unpretentious, see the opportunity to grow with the school, and are willing to help where needed as it is a smaller school.

Qualifications:

  • Swedish teaching credentials with authorization for preschool
  • Proficiency in the Spanish language
  • Previous experience as a preschool teacher

As a teacher with us, you have the opportunity to shape the school from the ground up. Since the school is new, all teachers are involved in influencing the educational program, pedagogy, and work culture at the school.
